- A gray cat slinks past a wooden house. There’s something a little intimidating attempting to describe.

It started off rough in Cambodia, I can’t tell I lie. I flew into Phnom Phen and, though I met some lovely folks at 88 Backpackers that showed me the town the first night and made it a good one,… Overall I just never could quite shake the feeling that Phnom Phen was a place I needed to leave. It just didn’t feel good to me.
That said, I’m now in my third place in Cambodia and happy to report I am WHOLEHEARTEDLY and UNABASHEDLY in love with this country and these people. Such generosity all around,.. From a group of friends at the beach sharing a local dish with us, to a girl swimming up to us in the river to see if we were tourists and explain she was Vietnamese but lived here and her boyfriend was visiting from the beaches to see her,… To a lovely man and his ENTIRE family taking time out preparations for a huge remembrance party to share food, stories and their company,.. And now to a river hotel my heart just won’t let me leave.
I only have a little over a week to go here now and the list of stories about all the lovely people here has certainly grown. When I find some time, I promise to post something about them. In the meantime, here are live links to photos of the places I’ve been and loved so far.
