Tah-dah! Pants meet people, people meet pants.
If you aren’t overwhelmed with their loveliness from the pictures (though I’m SURE you are), please let me tell you why you should be.
First, they’re one size fits all. And no, that doesn’t mean extra large mens shirts for everyone. There’s a series of elastic bands that gather up the material on the waist. And not super tight ones… They’re perfectly mama-bear (aka just right). So, regardless of who’s wearing them, the elastic ruches the waistline… Very flattering.
Why else does size matter?, you ask.
- Pattern preference aside, everyone can wear every pair. This makes them super cost efficient to manufacture in volume, and it allows storekeepers to invest in more inventory at a time (better bulk price with low risk of being stuck with unsalable goods), …. keeping the cost low for the end consumer (Boom!)
- No variation on sizes means no emphasis on size at all when you’re purchasing them… Meaning, when you buy them, you’re not identifying yourself with the size you bought… You simply bought some pretty, pretty pants. So go on with your bad self. 🙂
Second, I mean,… Look at them. They’re just cute.
Third, they’re beyond comfortable. Like, think of your most comfortable pair of pants. The ones you can wear after Korean BBQ or too much pizza (just sayin’…). MORE comfortable than THOSE pants.
Fourth, and super important over here – they’re cool in the heat, and versatile. Maybe not corporate board room versatile (I’ll let you know when I’m back 🙂 ) but,… over here, for $130 Baht (the equivalent of $4 USD), these things pack light and can be worn almost anywhere.
That’s it. Sorry to rant. But these pants are magic. I’ve already gone back and bought with Baht (pronounced “BOUGHT”, see what I did there?) another pair. I’m packing up my backpack tonight to head into the mountains tomorrow and, if there’s room, please know I’ll be heading to the night bazaar for a couple more pair before I go.
To conclude, for anyone who is still unclear as to my level of love for these pants, it’s really gonna be like this….
To love me … is to love these pants.. To like me … is to like these pants… To tolerate me … is to tolerate these pants… Perfect Pant Haters begone.
And ladies, … If I wasn’t gone for so much longer, please know I’d be gifting you each a pair of these lovely, lovely pants. My heart aches for you not having them.
